Along with this freedom, come a few disadvantages however. The cordless knife is generally heavier than the corded version as it contains the battery pack and you may find this unwieldy to hold for any length of time. Also, these cordless knives, seem prone to running out of power just when you need them. You have to remember to keep them charged, of course, but you may also find that one charge is not long enough for a task you have in mind with some knives.
